Lend a Hand to Make a Hand Project
Fab Labs, all over the world, design and make great things! The Lend a Hand to Make a Hand project is using the tools of the Fab Lab, the creativity of its members, and the support from a community to help create hand and finger prosthetics for children.
Fab Lab Hub created the 3DPrint4Good project to grow a e-NABLE group in the Boston area. The project brings together people who want to make a difference. Based on the e-NABLE community project, that brought together a carpenter from South Africa and a prop maker from the USA to create a prosthetic hand device for a small child, this community has grown to a world-wide movement.
The Lend a Hand to Make a Hand Project is a fundraiser specifically to seed Fab Labs and Maker Spaces in the Cambridge area with 3D Printers and supplies to jump start building prosthetic hands. On May 1, if you are in the Boston area, you too can make a difference.
