Finite Element Analysis Tutorials in SolidWorks through NSF Grant

FEA SolidWorks Tutorial Ash Brown 1

Learning how to apply the Finite Element Method (FEM) is a challenge.  The equations require a strong math understanding.  A few years ago, Dr Ashland Brown, University of the Pacific approached me with a request to write a support letter for his NSF grant to help students learn the fundamental concepts of Finite Element Analysis.  With proven success on increasing student performance, I got to write a continued letter of support for the NSF Grant.  Last week at the ASEE Conference, I got to see the results.  Ash Brown, Joe Rencis, my former advisor now Dean at Tennessee Tech, and other faculty presented at the annual ASEE conference, their new round of tutorials.
