3DEXPERIENCE World is all about connecting and networking with other SOLIDWORKS users around the world. One of the best to do this is in The Hive.

The Hive is organized and run by the SOLIDWORKS Community Team. It’s dedicated to providing event attendees with scheduled networking and community-enabling activities. 3DEXPERIENCE World 2022 is now fully virtual, which means that the networking opportunities within The Hive are more important than ever.

We will review the agenda for The Hive, which consists of our amazing Hive Hangouts. We also want to highlight a fantastic Podcast that has become a staple part of the SOILDWORKS user community. Let’s break it down to make sure you don’t miss any of the action. You can also search for “The Hive” in the session catalog to see all the virtual sessions that are taking place in The Hive.

Hive Hangouts

The keystone sessions that you will find in The Hive are The Hive Hangouts. These are speed networking sessions where you can connect with other attendees who have similar job functions or interests as you. We will be there to facilitate the meetups and get the conversations started with some networking tips and tricks.

Once you join the virtual session, we will break everyone out into smaller groups for the first 15-minute speed networking session. We will then come back to the main room for a small break, and then breakout into the second 15-minute speed networking session. During these sessions it is important to make networking plans for after the session. So be sure to have your LinkedIn or Email address at the ready to share. Podcasts

We are also excited to partner with The Core Podcast this year, allowing them to connect directly with our virtual attendees. Kirby Downey and Johnny Harrison are the hosts of The Core Podcast. They are both SOLIDWORKS User Group Leaders and SOLIDWORKS Champions from the United Kingdom.

At 3DEXPERIENCE World 2021, an entirely virtual event, Kirby and Johnny recreated the “hallway hangout” atmosphere live on their podcast by welcoming in well-known faces in the SOLIDWORKS community and chatting about the day’s events. This was so successful that they will be using this same approach during 3DEXPERIENCE World 2022.

They are planning to broadcast for about 7 hours each day on their channel, which is a huge undertaking. They will go live shortly after General Session and keep their stream going throughout the afternoon. This allows different guests to come and go, almost as if they were bumping into those folks in the hallways of the convention center. We will even co-broadcast their show on SOLIDWORKS Live on Monday February 7th from 12:15-1:00PM ET, via the SOLIDWORKS YouTube channel.
