Tune in Live to Explore 3DEXPERIENCE Works

There’s been a lot of talk about 3DEXPERIENCE Works, and in 2021 we’re going to show you this portfolio in a new, up-close and personal way. Join us on Thursday, January 28 at 11 AM EST for the first episode of our new YouTube Live show Exploring 3DEXPERIENCE Works.

You may have seen previous Exploring 3DEXPERIENCE Works Live webinars, but now we’re coming straight to you. Industry Process Consultants Gian Calise and John Martorano III are ready to answer your burning questions in real-time and show you how 3DEXEPERIENCE Works really, well, works! This series will give you a firsthand look into new features and workflows found in the portfolio to help you understand how 3DEXPERIENCE Works can change the way you design and do business.

The inaugural episode of Exploring 3DEXPERIENCE Works is all about improving design workflows. Gian and John will demonstrate how 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS and 3D Sculptor can be used together to create a beard trimmer. They will create the interior machinery using SOLIDWORKS and then use the Sub-D modeling capabilities found in 3D Sculptor to shape and form the exterior of the trimmer–all while collaborating through SOLIDWORKS connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Not only will you see the modeling capabilities of these tools in action, you will also get a first look at new functionalities for Part Supply. Similar to SOLIDWORKS Toolbox, Part Supply is part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace that allows users to take specialized parts from an expansive catalogue and insert them directly into models without having to leave SOLIDWORKS.

Want to take a deeper dive into the features of 3D Sculptor and learn how to go from concept to component?  The subdivision tools in 3D Creator allow the experts to quickly create a stylish enclosure for the beard trimmer. You’ll see how ordered geometrical sets can be leveraged to split the subdivision body into two – the top and the bottom. From there the experts will finish off the design showing you some design tips and tricks along the way.
