Giving a Helping Hand to One Million [Podcast]
What happens when you get designers and innovators together? They usually talk about design and innovation, and eat pizza…BUT when you add in the opportunity to help others, something else happens: Their drive and passion start to show.
This is what I saw at the first-ever 3DEXPERIENCE for Good Hackathon.
What is a Design Hackathon? It all starts with a great guy Michael Mendonca, who has a HUGE goal to give away a million prosthetic hands to those in need. Then you add in five teams of designers, all of which shared a common goal: to design a better prosthetic. Then you add in other organizations that want to help Michael reach that goal. It’s a fascinating story, which I could not explain in a blog post, so I did my best to capture it with an interview with Michael and my co-worker David Randle. Listen along as they explain this amazing project and what happened during the hackathon at 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020.
This is a great story about passion, design collaboration, innovation and serving others. Please listen to my interview with Michael and David in the latest Born to Design Podcast here:
