R&D Futures: Harness the Power of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
Happy day two of SOLIDWORKS World 2019! You can replay the live stream below, but here is a quick recap of today’s general session – R&D Futures.
While the R&D team is hard at work….
We are going to harness the power of all the amazing solutions that the Dassault Systemes Brands develop into our space with the attention to simplicity and ease of use that is trademark of SOLIDWORKS. These solutions will be part of the 3DEXPERIENCE.WORKS family.
In today’s session the panel discussed short-term projects and what they will be working on in the future to help you get your jobs done, faster and easier leveraging SOLIDWORKS, the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and Applications from other Dassault Systems brands never before available to you, until now.
We took a closer look at the why for the 3DEXPERIENCE.WORKS strategy:
Plan: Our future generation is growing up in an entirely different world than the one we grew up in. This generation is connected to a global world of intelligent machines and computing power. As they become our next workforce, we need to be ready for their needs.
Design: The R&D team has been busy creating and delivering hundreds of new enhancements in SOLIDWORKS 2019 and now working on SOLIDWORKS 2020. Their work is based largely on customer feedback, and based on what they are hearing and seeing from the field, they try to deliver.
Simulate: Running simulations anytime during the design process and providing highly accurate simulations that were never accessible before.
Manufacture: We learned that we can connect to manufacturers, professional service organizations and even part suppliers inside the SOLIDWORKS interface providing a doorway to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform Marketplace.
