Hello Wisconsin!!

I’m in the Badger State this week visiting SOLIDWORKS User Groups in Sheboygan, Appleton, and Fond Du Lac.  Next week I’m heading to Albany, New York for the first SWUGN Technical Summit of the year.

Last nights meeting of the SOLIDWORKS Resource Forum Sheboygan was a small one, but a good one.  Group leader Dan Harvey started things off and then handed the podium over to me for a look at “What ELSE is New in SOLIDWORKS 2015” with some tips and tricks thrown in.  The session went over well, but the rest of the meeting was even better.  After a break for some pizza, we gathered back in the main room and the meeting turned into several discussions in small groups. As I was deeply involved in a discussion on Weldments, I didn’t get a chance to hear some of the other topics.  Suffice to say that everyone who attended got something from the meeting.

There are plenty of other good things going on this week in the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network:

Marie Planchard is in Louisville today, along with FIRST Robotics Team 2783, for the Louisville SOLIDWORKS User Group meeting.

Mike Spens will show off collaboration tools for the SOLIDWORKS User Group of Fresno.

The first meeting of the Greater Portland/Vancouver Composer Users Group happens today.

Here’s a complete look at the SWUGN calendar.
