A Great Road Trip and a Look Ahead
I got to spend last week in Ohio and Michigan where I attended three SOLIDWORKS user group meetings.
I started out in Monroe, Michigan with the Southeast Michigan/Northwest Ohio SOLIDWORKS User Group, where more than 110 attendees were treated to several technical sessions, a small vendor faire, and some delicious food. With the backing of Monroe County Community College, all of the local SOLIDWORKS resellers, and the leadership of Dean Kerste, this group has had some terrific meetings. Last week was no exception.
Off to Cleveland where I helped the Northeast Ohio SOLIDWORKS User Group celebrate their 10th anniversary with a great meeting at the International Women’s Air and Space Museum. Group founder Dan Bertschi was there along with all of the current and former group officers. I had a lot of fun presenting some Tips and Tricks along with some of my favorite new features in SOLIDWORKS 2015.
My final stop was in Rochester Hills, Michigan for the Eastern Michigan SOLIDWORKS User Group. After a brief 10th anniversary presentation, I got to sit back and watch two really good presentations by Rodney Harper and Darin Grosser. We weren’t able to get in touch with the group’s founder Robert Meitzler, but Dan Bovinich and Don Bartlett have done a great job keeping the group going all these years.
I really enjoyed all three meetings, got to eat some great food, met a ton of new people, and listened to some outstanding presentations. I even got some candy.
