The Long Trip Begins

The first leg of my 13 day trip has begun, and in a couple of hours I’ll be visiting the North Texas SOLIDWORKS User Group and the Fort Worth SOLIDWORKS User Group for their combined meeting tonight.  Suchit Jain is here, and we’re looking forward to seeing a lot of SOLIDWORKS users on our trip.

I’m not the only one traveling this week, Phil Sluder is taking a trip to the Northwest US to see the good folks at the Portland Area SOLIDWORKS User Group, the Yakima SOLIDWORKS User Group, and finally, a stop at the Seattle Area SOLIDWORKS User Group South. Thanks Phil!!

Jason Hoskins and James Judge are bringing the Central Kentucky SOLIDWORKS User Group back with a meeting on November 6th.

Jose Umana is a quiet guy, and wouldn’t brag about his South Central New Jersey SOLIDWORKS User Group, but one of his members did while I was in Philadelphia a few of weeks ago.  Great group, great meetings, and great attendance is what I heard.  Join them this Thursday for their next meeting.

I’ll be heading to Tokyo on Saturday to meet up with Bertrand Sicot (and a few others) for SOLIDWORKS World Japan.  We’ll also visit Osaka for another large meeting of SOLIDWORKS users.  This is my first trip to Japan and I promise lots of pictures and lots of stories.

At thirteen days (15 if you count the two vacation days at the end), this is my longest trip ever.  Of course I’ll miss my kids, but I also miss my back scratcher.  Maybe it’s time to get a “TSA friendly” one.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
