Busy, busy, busy…
There are a lot of exciting things that go on this time of the year for SOLIDWORKS users. The release of SOLIDWORKS 2015 means SOLIDWORKS Resellers are gearing up for Rollout Events, the SOLIDWORKS World 2015 Call-for-Papers is close to closing, and the SOLIDWORKS World 2015 agenda is being prepared. Throw in 33 SWUGN local chapter meetings and you’ve got some very busy folks.
There are nine SOLIDWORKS User Group meetings on the calendar this week, and I get to visit three of them. I’ll join Jeremy Regnerus for meetings this week in Huntsville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville.
A brand new SOLIDWORKS User Group kicks off this week in Kearney, Nebraska. Southern Region SWUGN representative Todd Blacksher will be there to help the South Central Nebraska SOLIDWORKS User Group get things off on the right foot..
Something about Sheboygan, Wisconsin brings back memories from childhood, but I’ve long forgotten exactly what that is. At any rate, there’s a brand new SOLIDWORKS User Group starting up with a meeting in November.
I got an email from Graham Rae letting me know how much he enjoyed visiting the Rockford Area SOLIDWORKS User Group. Graham used words like “Great”, “Excellent”, and “Energetic”. I received a note from Tom Clark the group leader, which simply said “We had a good meeting”.
Jim Boland has been doing his share of traveling lately, with an appearance at the New Mexico SOLIDWORKS User Group in August, and a visit to the SOLIDWORKS Milwaukee Area Resource Team (SMART) this month. Jim loves to present and has a really great look at Animations using SOLIDWORKS. He’s available for your meetings with a little advanced notice.
Quick notes…
Alaska looks to get its first SOLIDWORKS User Group as Gerry Mott relocates in October. That will leave West Virginia and Arkansas as the only US states not served by a local chapter.
I’ve got a secret project that I will be discussing this week with a couple of our SOLIDWORKS User Groups. If it all works out, you might see something pretty cool at SOLIDWORKS World 2015.
We’re putting together an “Executive Tour” with Aaron Kelly (and possibly Suchit Jain) for North Texas and Oklahoma in November. Stay tuned here for more information.
There are SOLIDWORKS User Group meetings everywhere this month. Check out the calendar – https://www.swugn.org/swugn/calendar.htm
