A Quick SWUGN Update

I spent the better part of the weekend in the Midwest visiting a great customer in Minneapolis on Friday and a brand new SOLIDWORKS User Group in Urbana, IL on Saturday before heading home Sunday to pack for my trip to Waltham this week.  I’ll have more on the visit to the Illini SOLIDWORKS User Group later this week.

Graham Rae and Vajrang Parvate spent some time with four SOLIDWORKS User Groups last week and judging from the emails I’ve received, everyone had a great time.

It’s not hard to see that Southern US region SWUGN representative Todd Blacksher enjoyed his trip to Texas and the San Antonio SOLIDWORKS User Group.

A new SOLIDWORKS User Group is on the horizon for Sheboygan, Wisconsin.  Look for details this week.

I confirmed last week that I will be heading to Japan for SOLIDWORKS World Japan in November.  This will be my first trip to Japan and what better reason than a SOLIDWORKS World conference.  I hope I can find some sushi while I’m there.

Speaking of SOLIDWORKS World, the call-for-papers is still open and the abstracts are pouring in.  We expect the schedule for the Phoenix event to be complete by the end of October.

Last but not least, there are sixteen SOLIDWORKS User Group meetings on the calendar this week.  Find a group near you for learning, networking, free food, and a lot of fun.

I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
