A Decade in OKC

As a lifelong Texas Longhorn fan, I tread lightly when I travel north of the Red River, but I’m really looking forward to visiting next week to help Vladimir Yun and the Oklahoma City SOLIDWORKS User Group celebrate 10 years.

I’ve known Vladimir for more than 10 years now; having first met him at a user event in Austin, Texas.  Shortly after, he moved to Oklahoma and started the group.  The SOLIDWORKS User Group network has plenty of groups that have reached their 10th anniversary, but not many of those have had the same group leader all those years.  Thanks Vladimir, I’ll see you next week!

I’ll also be making my second trip to the Tulsa SOLIDWORKS User Group, and my first ever trip to Wichita to see the folks at the South Central Kansas SOLIDWORKS User Group.  If you’re in or near the areas I’ll be visiting, I look forward to meeting you.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
