SolidWorks World 2014

There are a lot of reasons to get excited about SolidWorks World 2014; nice January weather in San Diego, 200+ technical sessions, 100 exhibitors, and thousands of SolidWorks users eager to learn.  For the SolidWorks User Group Network (SWUGN), this years conference will mark the 15th time they have hosted the SWUGN Summit meeting at SolidWorks World. What started out in 2000 as a sixty minute round table discussion has morphed into a ninety minute fun-fest complete with special guests, awards, cheers, laughter, and sometimes a few tears.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll take a look at some of the technical sessions and presenters, some of the folks that make the conference special, and the events that take place during SolidWorks World week.  Feel free to share your stories from past events in the comments sections.

I’m as excited as I was as a SolidWorks World newbie back in 1999, and it seems that every year I return home thinking “Wow, that was the best SolidWorks World ever”.  I suspect this year will be the same.
