The IFWE Challenge – Reloaded, and in 3D!

IF WE ask the right questions, we can change the world… In 2012, more than 500 of you submitted crazy ideas to our crowd-sourced collection of world-changing dreams. 3 winners were awarded with prizes and software to help bring their dreams to life. In fact, the first-prize winner (Geoffrey Cooper, https://www.geoffreyc.com/) was a SolidWorks user!

This year, the #IFWE Challenge is back, reloaded with exciting new features:

  • New prizes, including a trip to our 3DS Paris Campus or Boston Campus, for a total prize value of $12,000
  • An incredibly awesome jury of sustainability experts, and the three IFWE Challenge Winners from the 2012 edition!
  • New social features to share easily your (or someone else’s) IFWE Dream with friends through Facebook, Twitter or by email

Yet with more than 500 contributions in our “IFWE Dreams cloud,” we found out it wasn’t really user-friendly to browse others’ contributions only three or four at time. So we thought a 3DEXPERIENCE would do a better job  :wink: We teamed with 3DVIA to create the “IFWE Sphere,” allowing you to navigate through almost 200 dreams at a time. We also added a pinch of EXALEAD, to highlight the most frequent keywords, and to help finding Dreams with similar thoughts (so that you can find your IFWE Dream teammates even if they are on the other side of the planet :D ).

What we DIDN’T change is the way you can submit your IFWE Dream. We kept it as simple as last year: just come up with a statement or question beginning with the words #IFWE, and submit it through our website, blogs, on Facebook or Twitter. Everything is explained here, so don’t wait to submit your own world-changing ideas! The contest ends on October 28th.
