Announcing the SolidWorks World 2012 Halloween Costume Contest!

SolidWorks World 2012

SolidWorks World 2012 in San Diego may be over three months away, but the first early bird deadline is upon us (register today and save!) and November is only a few days away. If you haven’t registered or convinced the boss to send you yet, here’s another chance to get in for free.

Halloween is Monday, and we know that some of you will be attending parties this weekend in costumes of your own making. Or maybe you’re sending the kids out into the night wearing something you conjured up in your darkest dreams. Or maybe you’re just going to sit around the house in costume lamenting your lost youth. Regardless of what you’re doing, we want to see your hand-made costume.

Between now and 11:59 EDT November 3, 2011, you can leave a comment on this post talking about your costume. Tell us what you designed, and how you made it. And be sure to link to a picture or video of you or your kid wearing the costume.

On November 4 a panel of judges will review the entries, assess your creativity and determine a winner, who will win a pass to SolidWorks World 2012. One entry per person, please. And we’ll give extra consideration to customs that were designed with SolidWorks, either in whole or in part.

Of course there are restrictions, which you’ll find in the complete rules included below. So make sure you read them. In a nutshell, you’re not eligible if you’re a SolidWorks employee, or you work for a SolidWorks reseller or SolidWorks solution partner. You have to get to San Diego on your own and put yourself up. And the contest is void in Brazil, Quebec, China, and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by local or national law. Sorry.

And don’t forget, you can still save $100 if you register by January 20. If you pay for two registrations, we’ll throw in a third for free, and as always, CSWPs save $100. You can see all of our registration deals at the SolidWorks World website.
