One of the things we've heard from SolidWorks World attendees over the past few years is that you'd like to learn more in advance about the SolidWorks partners who set up booths in the Partner Pavilion. So now through the end of SolidWorks World, we'll be posting a series of blog entries about some of the partners you might think about checking out, and the people who will be representing them. Today we hear from Myrta Devitor of Sales and Marketing at AMV in Italy.

1. Tell us about AMV.
AMV is a software company specialised in FEA solutions for the Italian market which has recently approached the global scenario with a product conceived for the steel Industry within the SolidWorks environment with particular focus on structural steel: AMV STEELWORKS. AMV STEELWORKS is a fully parametric add-in which enables to manage the entire workflow of structural steel design, from the modelling stage down to the generation of drawings and bill of materials.

 

2. Why should SolidWorks World attendees visit your booth?
At SolidWorks World 2011 we will showcase the latest version of AMV STEELWORKS. In particular we will focus on how SolidWorks native functions can be greatly enhanced by the synergy with our product, with special attention on bolted connections. It will be a great opportunity to present the new product range which, on top of two LITE products features a great innovation meant for the mechanical sector.

3. How can your products or services help make a SolidWorks user’s life easier?
The main advantage is surely the reduction of design time. Thanks to the libraries available for joints and profiles the user can add such elements to the job with JUST ONE CLICK. So forget long and boring piece-by-piece modelling. SteelWorks will definitely simplify your life!
