Christmas2 002 Name:
Kevin Douglas

Title: Vice President of Sales

Company: GoEngineer.
GoEngineer is an award-winning Authorized SolidWorks, CAMWorks and Stratasys Reseller serving the West Coast, and Oracle Agile Reseller serving the U.S. and Canada, with training and technical support centers, for over 26 years.

1)Why did you choose to do the work you do?
My brother hired me at US CAD right out of college. I was broke and needed the money. The early days were devoted to selling solutions based on AutoDesk technology into the architecture/engineering/construction and mechanical engineering markets. I developed a primary interest in the MCAD side of the business and fortunately stumbled upon SolidWorks at Daratech 1995. The rest is history!

2)What is your proudest career moment?

Standing on stage at SolidWorks World many times receiving excellence in performance awards. Just knowing how hard each member of our team worked to achieve these goals, ranks right up there

3)What goal inspires you?

To help provide an environment, tools and support to allow those on our team to achieve their fullest potential so they, in turn, can do the same for our customers

4)How has SolidWorks made a difference in your life?

Its made for an excellent career. Working with great people at GoEngineer and being able to see all the unique and innovative products our customers have developed over the years with SolidWorks products has been very rewarding.

5)Who’s your favorite (musician, sports figure, actor) and why?

Rafael Nadal, tennis pro. While not the most naturally gifted player, he is a relentless competitor that never gives up. Despite his huge success on the courts, humility remains an important part of who he is.

Matthew West

SolidWorks alumnus. I like plate reverb, Rat pedals, Thai curry, New Weird fiction, my kids, Vespas, Jazzmasters, my wife & Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not necessarily in that order.
