Oh My, What Have I Done?

It's early Saturday morning here in Anaheim and I'm getting ready to start my first day at SolidWorks World 2010.  I guess technically last night was my first day since I had a dinner meeting with the boss at Morton's (mmmm…meat), but things will get a little busier today.  I'm working on a special project that will be announced Monday afternoon, and I'll be helping SolidWorks employees and some resellers get registered later today.

A few SolidWorks users that I know have already arrived and a few more are due in today – if they can get past the nasty weather currently gripping the southeast US.  Flights have been cancelled or delayed, and if anyone is trying to fly out of Virginia or the Carolinas they might be out of luck today.  Hopefully things clear out soon and everyone makes it here eventually.

Even though some folks aren't here yet, the socializing has already started.  I've been reading blogs and following Twitter conversations all morning – Ricky and Richard are on their way to Chicago, Jason is already there, Rod is getting on the plane, Jeff was up too early.  Deelip is here, so are Randall and Anna.  Al's on his way to Paris.  It looks like Alex will spend most of his day driving people in from the airport.

I've mentioned before that I don't really get Twitter, but for this week I'm really going to try.  I probably won't put out as many Tweets as the regulars, but look for the occasional update.  You can follow me if you like – @SWUGN – and if you're here and want to meet up, send me a Tweet or a DM.

I just installed TweetDeck on my iPhone.
