Cool product ! G’reee’n Chair made of Recycled Video Game Plastic

Reee Chair What a great example of innovation and creative design thinking around sustainability issues!!

The Reee Chair is one of the few emerging sustainable products to back up its claim of being waste neutral. Made from the plastic of 9 Sony PlayStation2 video game consoles, each chair keeps 2.4 Kg of plastic from going to landfill. Invented by London product designer Christopher Pett and developed in SolidWorks, the chair is now in use in corporate board rooms, schools and private homes.

You can listen to the podcasts to hear more about the challenges of designing an environmentally and commercially sustainable product.

The Reee chair proves a point: sustainable design makes good business sense! We would love to hear about your stories.
