This Group Protected by Smith & Wesson

One of the best SWUGN success stories over the past few years has been the Central MA/Northern CT SolidWorks User Group.  Superbly managed by a 4 person committee – Ed "The Mad Scientist" Gebo, Randy "The Traveler" Lennox, Tom "The Brains" Cote, and Glen "The Quiet One" LePage – the group averages nearly 50 attendees per bi-monthly meeting.  They have also been very good at mixing things up when it comes to meeting places.  I’m not sure which one of these guys has the magic touch, but CMNC-SWUG meetings have been held at some interesting facilities.

This month’s meeting will be held at the Smith & Wesson facility in Springfield, MA.  Provided that you follow all of the security rules, you’ll get a nice tour of the plant along with some terrific presentations. For more information and the complete set of guidelines, visit the group’s website.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
