SolidWorks World Presentations for Everyone!

There’s been a bit of hubbub the last couple of days regarding access to SolidWorks World 2008 proceedings. As is common with many technical conferences that people pay good money to attend, conference proceedings have been limited to attendees.  Right or not, it’s been SolidWorks Corporations policy for as long as I can remember – as a benefit of paying to attend.

So when a limited set of this year’s conference material appeared on a website over the weekend, SolidWorks decided the best thing was to do was to go ahead and make ALL of the conference materials available to the general public, including videos, podcasts, cool photos, and the Partner Pavilion information.  In addition, you can access the SolidWorks World technical presentations, complete with session descriptions and bios of the presenters – who after all deserve the credit and recognition for the fine sessions they put together.  You even get a picture (in most cases) of the presenters – now you’ll know what Rob Rodriguez looks like even if you’ve never met him!

Sww08To access the SolidWorks World 2008 proceedings, login to the SolidWorks Customer Portal and find the link shown here.  I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a better option than scrolling through a list of file names.
