9th Annual SWUGN Summit

Always my favorite meeting of the year, the annual SWUGN Summit at SolidWorks World never disappoints.  More than 50 user group leaders from around the world were treated to a few words from our special guests Jeff Ray, Paul Chastell, and Marie Planchard who thanked the group leaders for making the CSWA exam launch a huge success.

Other highlights included:

– A better than 20% increase in the number of local user group chapters

– Higher overall attendance

– More international awareness

The annual SWUGN Summit is a nice break from the massive information overload that SolidWorks World is famous for.  The SWUGN Summit offers very little (read: none) in the way of technical information, and concentrates on the excitment, energy, and passion that makes SolidWorks User Group Leaders the very special people that they are.  At one point during the meeting, I asked all of the group leaders to stand and be recognized.  Little did I know that it would also be accompanied by a rousing cheer.

That gave me goosebumps!
