SolidWorks World Turns Ten

It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since we all gathered in Palm Springs for the first SolidWorks World.  I remember the tiki torches at the welcome reception, Stan Sweet hyperventilating, meeting Josh Mings, Jon Hirschtick, and Bob Noftle for the first time, and the opulence of the host hotel (in those days, I usually stayed in places like this when I traveled).

Highlights for 2008 include more technical sessions that ever before, some terrific keynote speakers, and the SolidWorks World Block Party.  For more information on SolidWorks World 2008, read yesterday’s press release.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
