Coming Soon to a Conference Room Near You

It’s been quite a few days for SolidWorks User Groups.  We’ve been approached by more than 15 energetic individuals with an interest in starting a local user group chapter, and I’m happy to say that at least three new groups will be listed in just the the next couple of weeks.  In North America, Davenport (IA), Tulsa (OK), and Baltimore, (MD) show immediate promise, and interest has been high in Florida and Ontario, Canada (near Toronto).  I met with some members of the Latin America sales team to talk about expanding groups in Central and South America too.

I’ve yet to connect with the SolidWorks user from Hawaii that’s been trying to reach me, but I intend to find him on Wednesday.  You can bet I’ll offer to visit his group on a regular basis.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
