Annual SWUGN Award Winners

Congratulations to this years recipients of the Annual SWUGN Awards.

SWUGN User Group of the Year – Minnesota SolidWorks User Group
The Minnesota SolidWorks User Group takes the top prize this year for outstanding service to members, community involvement, increasing attendance and a regular meeting schedule.  Group leader Dan Podzimek has created a wonderful organization that serves the SolidWorks Community very well.

SWUGN Group Leader of the Year – Ricky Jordan
Since resurrecting the North Alabama SolidWorks User Group two years ago, Ricky Jordan has become a force not only for the successful group that he leads, but for the entire SolidWorks Community.  A regular contributor to discussion forums, a SolidWorks World presenter, and SolidWorks blogger, Ricky helps users from around the world.  The success of a local SolidWorks User Group depends greatly on leadership, and Ricky has shown that he is certainly the man for the job.

SWUGN Participating Partner of the Year – 3D Connexion
3Dconnexion continues to provide unparalleled support for SolidWorks user groups around the world, demonstrating a willingness to participate in user groups large and small. Rick Lando and his staff contribute greatly to the success of SolidWorks user groups, and they are highly regarded by user group leaders and members alike.

SWUGN Reseller of the Year – MCAD Technologies
MCAD Technologies was on hand to accept the Reseller of the Year award for the second straight year.  Their continued support for the Colorado SolidWorks User Group, and the passionate nomination by group leader Gerald Davis were enough to push them to the top once again.  Several other SolidWorks Resellers received an honorable mention this year – special thanks to GoEngineer, Computer-Aided Products, MLC CAD Systems, Javelin Technologies, and Trimech for their hard work as well.

Congratulations again to all of our awards winners, each and every one is very deserved.

Richard Doyle
My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
