You Can Go Home Again

I’ll be on the road a lot starting next week and continuing through August.  SWUGN Summit events will take me to Kansas City on July 25th, and Seattle the 22nd of August.  I’ll be a speaker at the De Anza College SolidWorks User Group August 10th.  But the date that’s circled in red on my calendar is Tuesday, August 8th.  That’s the day the Redwood Empire SolidWorks User Group meets in my home town of Rohnert Park, California.

I moved to Rohnert Park as a young boy in 1968, and my family and I left the area in 1980.  I’ve been back a few times (including the inaugural meeting of RESUG in October of 2005), and I’m looking forward to seeing some old friends and attending the meeting in a community center named after a former schoolmate.  And of course, I’ll take the requisite drive past the house I grew up in.

Being a part of the SolidWorks Community is always special.  Sometimes it’s extra special.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
