As we\u2019ve written before<\/a>, Dassault Syst\u00e8mes\u00a0SOLIDWORKS is committed to helping our customers be the most productive while working from home during this time of social distancing.<\/p>\n

Right now, it\u2019s not possible to grab a drawing from the plotter or printer, mark it up, and drop it off on your coworker\u2019s desk. This situation requires that many of us change our workflows! As a result, I want to reshare<\/a> the Markup<\/strong> functionality that exists in both the SOLIDWORKS and eDrawings applications. This functionality is greatly improved in SOLIDWORKS 2020.<\/p>\n

New for 2020, touch capable devices are NO LONGER REQUIRED! You can mark up your parts, drawings, or assemblies by using a keyboard and mouse.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Markup feature isn\u2019t new<\/a>. There have been several iterations, and with YOUR feedback, we\u2019ve improved the tool to meet your needs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Markup content is available across multiple programs too! You can add Markup notes inside SOLIDWORKS or inside eDrawings, and all members of the project team can see the design notes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If you are using SOLIDWORKS PDM<\/a>, the Markup functions can be integrated into your workflow. One of our SOLIDWORKS Value Added Resellers produced an excellent video here<\/a>, which showcases a typical workflow.<\/p>\n
