In an effort to teach the kids a bit more independence, we are designing and 3D printing a custom juice dispenser so they can serve themselves in a fun and easy way.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout this 3-part series, we\u2019ll run through some basic modeling techniques in SOLIDWORKS. In part 2 of the series, we completed the design of the plastic components, but this is a pretty large part at about 13\u201d wide by 15\u201d tall, so we need to split these components into smaller segments for desktop 3D printing. We\u2019ll run through easily splitting up larger parts, and running incorporating my go-to alignment aid for assembling 3D printed segments.
