You can control every aspect of the border, including grid size and layout. When using the tool border, zones automatically update. You can also add Margin Mask areas, where labels and dividers are not shown.<\/p>\n<h1>Let&#8217;s Get Started<\/h1>\n<p>To Start the Automatic Border Feature, go to &#8211; Open a drawing, then click the Sheet Format Tab. Select Edit Sheet and then Automatic Border.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19579 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings.png\" alt=\"Drawings\" \/><\/a><\/center>The first option you will see is the Delete list, you can select items that are already on your Sheet Format to be deleted. Select the arrow. You will want to delete any existing border, this prevents overlapping with the newly created border.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19580\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-1.png\" alt=\"Drawings\" width=\"400\" height=\"460\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<h1>Setting the Zone and More<\/h1>\n<p>The next step allows you to set the zone size, formatting, borders, and margins. You have two options for the zone formatting the \u201c50mm from center\u201d option creates zones every 50mm from the center or the \u201cevenly sized\u201d option creates rows and columns that are based on the paper size.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-2-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19582\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-2-1.png\" alt=\"Drawings\" width=\"337\" height=\"548\" \/><\/a><\/center>The Margin options include left and right justifications, line size and adding a double border.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19583 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-3.png\" alt=\"Drawings\" width=\"435\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/center>If you want an odd number of rows and columns, the Center Zone Divider may overlap the center label.\u00a0 If this is the case, you can specify the Outer Zone Divider Length to be zero.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19584 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-4.png\" alt=\"Drawings\" width=\"471\" height=\"477\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<h1>Margin Masks<\/h1>\n<p>The last step allows you to add margin masks. \u00a0Margin masks allow you to hide zone divider and labels in the margin. To create a margin mask, select plus button and position the rectangular mask over the area you want to hide. You can add multiple masks to the page.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-5.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19585 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goengineer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Drawings-5-1024x448.png\" alt=\"Drawings\" \/><\/a><\/center>You have now created a parametrically linked border! Don\u2019t forget to save it as a Sheet Format.
