Today, the industry has dramatically changed due to SPEE3D\u2019s new process known as supersonic 3D deposition (SP3D). Byron told me, \u201cMy co-founder and SPEE3D CTO, Steve Camilleri, and I previously built and sold a company that developed a revolutionary high efficiency electric motor. While working on that project, we saw the benefit of metal 3D printing. We were not satisfied with paying an extraordinary amount of money to wait hours or even days to have the current metal 3D printed part delivered to us. With our experience in manufacturing, Steven and I decided to make a change to the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Byron went on to say, \u201cI know SOLIDWORKS is the industry standard for 3D CAD and a number of our engineers learned how to use SOLIDWORKS while attending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmit.edu.au\/\">RMIT<\/a>. These two facts provided us with the easiest and quickest way to get our product to market.
