href=\"https:\/\/niu.edu\/ceet\/\">Northern Illinois University<\/a> (NIU) College of Engineering and Engineering Technology has strong competitive, Society of Automotive and Aerospace Engineering teams in FSAE, BAJA, Clean Snowmobile, Aero Design and Supermileage.\u00a0 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/NIUSupermileage\/\">NIU Supermileage Team<\/a> competes in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shell.com\/global\/environment-society\/ecomarathon.html?gclid=CLWK7s7sr8UCFQQWHwod50wAtQ\">Shell Eco-marathon<\/a>, a global program that challenges high school and college student teams to design, build and test the most energy-efficient vehicles.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Dk7OVfAPeqA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>NIU Supermileage Team helped promote the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shell.com\/global\/environment-society\/ecomarathon\/events\/americas.html\">Shell Eco-marathon Americas<\/a> Event by recording a television commercial with Jay Leno.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7137\" multidiscipline engineering team.\u00a0 Four team members traveled to California to film at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/jay-lenos-garage\">Jay Leno\u2019s Garage<\/a> NBC TV show. \u00a0Mechanical engineering graduate student <strong>Kallol Barai<\/strong>, senior <strong>Lindsey<\/strong> <strong>Dodis<\/strong> (mechanical engineering, mechatronics and robotics), senior mechanical engineering major<strong> Kevin<\/strong> <strong>Kuebrich<\/strong> and junior energy and environmental technology student <strong>Christian<\/strong> <strong>McAdoo<\/strong> represented NIU at the Shell-NBC commercial.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7135\"
