On Monday, Veteran’s Day, here in America, \u00a0we honor those who serve in the US armed forces.\u00a0<\/strong>The SOLIDWORKS\u00a0\u00a0Military Veterans Program (MVP) allows US veterans to obtain SOLIDWORKS\u00a0for educational purposes through the SolidWorks Military Veterans Education store<\/a>.<\/p>\n

US Veterans can obtain a copy of SOLIDWORKS\u00a0at a discounted rate and a DD214 form.<\/p>\n

This year, the SOLIDWORKS\u00a0EDU team got to visit\u00a0Workshops for Warriors<\/a> in San Diego California, an organization that \u00a0is rebuilding America\u2019s advanced manufacturing workforce by a rigorous skills based training program with the latest technology. These Veterans work hard to become highly skilled and\u00a0\u00a0certified in MasterCam, Welding, SOLIDWORKS\u00a0\u00a0and other job skills.<\/p>\n

In 2009, a young Veteran came to us and asked for a copy of SOLIDWORKS.<\/p>\n

He wanted to keep his skills up for his employer during deployment. Months later, we received a flag flown for SolidWorks. \u00a0We have received many thank you cards and plaques of the years from students – but this was an honor I never expected.<\/p>\n
