{"id":6568,"date":"2014-10-30T06:26:07","date_gmt":"2014-10-30T10:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/teacher\/?p=6568"},"modified":"2014-10-30T06:26:07","modified_gmt":"2014-10-30T10:26:07","slug":"simulia-1st-academic-forum-at-mit-november-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/teacher\/2014\/10\/simulia-1st-academic-forum-at-mit-november-12.html","title":{"rendered":"SIMULIA 1st Academic Forum at MIT November 12, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Announcing<\/strong>: SIMULIA 1st Academic Forum 2014 is for academic users of Abaqus and other SIMULIA software.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where<\/strong>: MIT Campus Activities Complex Room W20-407, 77 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA, USA<\/p>\n<p><strong>When<\/strong>: Wednesday November 12, 2014, 8:30AM to 4:30PM<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will discover the new capabilities of the <a href=\"https:\/\/emailing.3ds.com\/r\/?id=h26fefd40,6c1b6a3b,6c1af06b\">SIMULIA Academic Suite<\/a>, including Abaqus 6.14, as well as new products <a href=\"https:\/\/emailing.3ds.com\/r\/?id=h26fefd40,6c1b6a3b,6c1af06c\">Tosca<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/emailing.3ds.com\/r\/?id=h26fefd40,6c1b6a3b,6c1af06d\">fe-safe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/emailing.3ds.com\/r\/?id=h26fefd40,6c1b6a3b,6c1af06e\">Isight<\/a>, all now available to academic licensees using a single set of license tokens.\u00a0The meeting will also offer insights into future strategies of SIMULIA and provide a forum to network with other academic users and SIMULIA technical staff.<\/p>\n<p>The SIMULIA Academic Forum is a fantastic opportunity for academic users of Abaqus and other SIMULIA software to share their knowledge and experiences advancing methods and technology for Finite Element Analysis, Multiphysics, Process Automation and Design Optimization.\u00a0Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to schedule 1-on-1 meetings with SIMULIA Technical Specialists to get answers to their modeling questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Academic Forum will take place from 8:30am to 4:30pm<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration and continental breakfast<\/li>\n<li>SIMULIA Presentation: \u201cUpdate on SIMULIA in the Academic World\u201d<\/li>\n<li>SIMULIA Presentation: \u201cWhat\u2019s New in Abaqus 6.14\u201d<\/li>\n<li>SIMULIA Demonstration combining Abaqus, Isight, Tosca and fe-safe<\/li>\n<li>Lunch \u2013 provided by SIMULIA<\/li>\n<li>Student Presentations<\/li>\n<li>Q&amp;A, Open Discussion<\/li>\n<li>Ask-the-Experts Clinics: 1-on-1 time with SIMULIA Technical Specialists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Call for Student Presentations:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe have set aside time in the agenda for SIMULIA Academic users to make short presentations on their work with SIMULIA software.
