Managing your own accreditation in a STEM field is\u00a0challenging. \u00a0When I was teaching, summer was the time to get caught up on family, hiking, \u00a0and household projects &#8211; then I started to think about students and classes.<\/p>\n<p>Academic administrators have asked us to develop a certification just for educators that promotes STEM competencies using SOLIDWORKS. \u00a0The first part is the Technology Educator Competency Exam (TECE), a multiple choice exam based on 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technology.<\/p>\n<p>The second part is the Certified SOLIDWORKSAssociate\u00a0Exam (CSWA). \u00a0The CSWA is an applied exam that tests the fundamental competencies of engineering graphics and applied math and science to solve an engineering problem.<\/p>\n<p>Apply <a title=\"SolidWorks Accredited Educator\" href=\"www.solidworks.com\/sw_accredited_educator_2014\">here<\/a> \u00a0to become SOLIDWORKS\u00a0Accredited Educator\u00a0and if approved, \u00a0receive credits to take the TECE and CSWA exams at no cost. \u00a0If you are already CSWA certified, you only need to pass the TECE. \u00a0Educators &#8211; do something for yourself this summer. \u00a0Certification is like money in the bank, you never know when you&#8217;ll need it.<\/p>\n<p>How does SOLIDWORKS\u00a0Certification make a difference in your students&#8217; lives?. \u00a0Here is a video from Mt Sac College at SolidWorks World 201 4to answer the question. \u00a0Marie<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rUUVuoikGL0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s the summer, and as a dedicated Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Educator you work on your SOLIDWORKS skills and learn new lessons to implement in the classroom.
