\"FRC<\/a><\/p>\n

The best in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) was celebrated at the FIRST Robotics 2014 Championship<\/a> in St Louis. \u00a0Teams FRC 469<\/strong>, FRC 254<\/strong>,FRC 2848<\/strong> and FRC 74<\/strong> were crowned champions in this engineering celebration. I have known\u00a0Team 469 \u00a0Las Guerrillas<\/a>, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan for a long time. \u00a0Since 1999, Team 469 has been an inspiration to all. \u00a0See Love of Engineering<\/a> story.<\/p>\n

We have followed the FRC 254 Cheesy Poofs<\/a>,San Francisco, CA, \u00a0an early adopter of SolidWorks and the FRC 2848 Jesuit All Sparks<\/a>, Dallas, TX.\u00a0 The All Sparks created a series of great SolidWorks and Design tutorials<\/a>\u00a0for all teams.<\/p>\n

12,000 students participated in this event. \u00a0Everyone wore safety glasses. \u00a0Safety glasses are the new chic<\/em> fashion statement for smart students who learn to solve the toughest engineering problems, perform as a team, and have fun.<\/p>\n

We wore safety glasses and cheese heads with the FRC 1086 Blue Cheese<\/a>, Glen Allen, VA.<\/p>\n

We wore safety glasses with the FRC 1538 Holy Cows<\/a>, San Diego also featured at SolidWorks World (story<\/a>) and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.<\/p>\n

We saw the best in design with these young women engineers from FRC 2135\u00a0Presentation Invasion<\/a>, San Jose, CA,<\/p>\n

great mechanical assemblies from FRC 2451 PWNAGE Robotics<\/a>, Fox Valley, IL,<\/p>\n

and the best media display from the FRC 2485 W.A.R Lords<\/a>, San Diego, CA.<\/p>\n

My colleagues, Eric, Sarah and I talked to hundreds of young SolidWorks users that showed us their models and promoted their achievements from implementing new technology to passing their certification exam and becoming CSWAs from Team 2158 the ausTIN Cans<\/a>. The\u00a0FRC Team 2468<\/a>\u00a0CHAP Robotics team, Austin, TX\u00a0showed SolidWorks on their laptops and in a well organized design report.<\/p>\n

\"FRC<\/a><\/p>\n

Although we can’t mention all the teams we visited, more stories are tweeted \u00a0@SolidWorksEDU<\/a> and @mplanchard1<\/a>. \u00a0We loved their passion for design, innovation and SolidWorks. \u00a0We thank all teams that have used SolidWorks.<\/p>\n
