The tutorials within SolidWorks and certifications prove out the student\u2019s knowledge base.<\/p>\n<p><b>Marie:\u00a0 <\/b>You two really pioneered the program at Mt Sac. \u00a0Tell us how you work together?<\/p>\n<p><b>Max<\/b>:\u00a0 We have three SolidWorks based courses.\u00a0 I give beginner and intermediate which gives me a chance to get to know them.\u00a0 Jerry teaches the advanced class.\u00a0 While advanced students are in class, I focus on placing them at jobs.\u00a0 I also focus on preparing them for the CSWA, which is their final exam.\u00a0\u00a0 Soon we\u2019ll be giving the CSWP.<\/p>\n<p><b>Marie:\u00a0 <\/b>Your relationships with students and potential employers are equally important.\u00a0 I\u2019m curious, how do you develop those?<\/p>\n<p><b>Jerry<\/b>: Mt Sac sponsors the local SolidWorks Users Group (www.SWUGN.org). I actually used to be a SWUGN leader.\u00a0 We host it at the VFW so it\u2019s a casual way for students and industry to mix.<\/p>\n<p><b>Max:\u00a0 <\/b>That\u2019s right.
