engineering potential through training and competitions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/FSAE-SolidWorks-Japan-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"FSAE SolidWorks Japan 2\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/FSAE-SolidWorks-Japan-2-300x188.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the university level, FSAE Japan students attend workshops in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation, hosted by <strong>Osaka University<\/strong>, \u00a0to be trained by the best engineers that volunteer their time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/SolidWorks-Japan-FSAE-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"SolidWorks Japan FSAE 3\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/SolidWorks-Japan-FSAE-3-300x179.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Masaharu Kajiwara<\/strong>, SolidWorks expert with 15 years experience, provided 110 students from 14 FSAE teams, lessons in part modeling, assembly modeling, frame design, envelop layout design,file management with Workgroup PDM, visualization with Photoview 360 and SolidWorks Composer.<\/p>\n<p>Engineering expert, <strong>Mr Yuuichi Minamiyama<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gacjp.com\/en\/\">GAC Corporation<\/a>, a global leader in advanced automotive systems, concentrated on theory using SolidWorks Simulation to show the essential points of SAE modeing, CAE validation, structural analyis of a bracket, internal and external Flow Simulation, Design Optimization and Thermal Fluid Analysis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/FSAE-SolidWorks-Japan-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"FSAE SolidWorks Japan 1\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/FSAE-SolidWorks-Japan-1-300x224.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Students explored the FEA and CFD SolidWorks Simulation products included in the SolidWorks Education Edition.<\/p>\n<p>Even though students were on school vacation,<strong>Tokyo University of Science<\/strong> team traveled over 300 miles to learn \u00a0about SolidWorks from the best engineers.<\/p>\n<p>The FSAE Japan competition, later this year, will feature <strong>Kyoto University<\/strong>, <strong>Osaka University<\/strong>, <strong>Doshisha University<\/strong> as they try to recapture their top place standings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/Kotobuki-Toyosaka.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Kotobuki Toyosaka\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/Kotobuki-Toyosaka-133x300.jpg\" width=\"133\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/SolidWorks-Winning-Model-Japanese-Design-Contest.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"SolidWorks  Winning Model Japanese Design Contest\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/SolidWorks-Winning-Model-Japanese-Design-Contest-112x300.jpg\" width=\"112\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the high school level, \u00a0<strong>Nippon Institute of Technology<\/strong> hosted the 3D CAD Product Design Competition. \u00a0University professors motivated high school students to have a different point of view about design, a freshness about design,<\/p>\n<p>Students went far beyond just the CAD model investigating market share, history, functionality, target users and originality of concept.<\/p>\n<p>The highest design award went to <strong>Kotobuki Toyosaka<\/strong>, <strong>Niigata Prefectural Niitsu<\/strong> <strong>Technical School<\/strong> for the &#8220;Tower Aquarium Fish Tank&#8221;. \u00a0This ornamental tank contained a spiral design for tropical fish with automatic feeding system and air pump.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you Junko and the SolidWorks Students from Japan for sharing your stories with the SolidWorks Community, \u00a0Marie<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Competitions. \u00a0They drive students to learn practical skills and to understand engineering \u00a0and design theory, \u00a0SolidWorks Japan continues to develop students&#8217;
