SolidWorks SustainabilityXpress is a new, free, application that allows you to determine Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) on a part.&#0160; So how do you teach <em>green<\/em>?&#0160; How do you empower your students to learn how their decisions will impact the environment.&#0160; From inputs, such as material selection, manufacturing process, where manufactured in the world, and where a product is&#0160;used, SolidWorks SustainabilityXpress provides information on carbon footprint, energy consumed, air acidification and water eurtrophication.&#0160; Once the student calculates the baseline, similar materials can be compared based on material properites such as density and tensile strength.&#0160; Final LCA reports are delivered in Word format.&#0160;
