The Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam tests a designer's knowledge in the fundamentals of engineering design using SolidWorks.  The CSWA exam is the first of eight SolidWorks certification exams. SolidWorks provides qualified schools the ability to give the CSWA exam to their students.  This week 5 colleges are giving the CSWA as their final exam.  I really have to compliment SolidWorks' Avelino Rochino, Mike Puckett and Jeremy Luchini for revising the CSWA exam based on feedback from so many educators, state technical directors, and engineering managers that use CSWA as an assessment. <\/p>\n

Today,  I travel to meet technology educators at the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) conference, it is only fitting that I highlight Larry Gutshall, precision metal shop teacher, and his students from Williams High School, Williams Arizonia.  I could focus on that Williams, a school of 225 students, is the National Robotics League Champion for 2010 held at SKILLS USA in June, and the Arizonia state NRL champion for multiple years. Instead, I want to congratulate three of Larry's students that have passed the new CSWA exam and are now SolidWorks certified.  They join over 30,000 SolidWorks certfied users.<\/p>\n

Ok so I love robots and I will celebrate Williams High School victory and cheer them on in upcoming robot competitions.  This is why SolidWorks is part of robot events, car competitons, sustainability contests, - to get students excited about engineering and design.  But in the end, our goal is to prepare students for a job – a career.  CSWA is just the beginning.  Thanks you Larry for spotting the SolidWorks robot in the latest episode of Let's Go Design<\/a>.  Marie<\/p>\n
