Last night the  team had dinner at a Jackson restaurant and were greated by thankful cheers from the University of Akron for their SolidWorks sponsorship.  We truly considers ourselves fortunate to meet such passionate young engineers.<\/p>\n

\"National<\/a><\/p>\n

Today we also met members of the National University of Singapore.  They won a 1st place ribbon in the technical drawings – 3 views competition.  The drawings they created in SolidWorks were works of art.<\/p>\n

So what about driving?  Yesterday I said that these engineering students must love engineering to wait in the heat, get through grueling technical inspections, and then compete in the  dynamic driving events.<\/p>\n

Well today at 8:05 am, WPI was first in line to get gas at the track.  Why is that important?  They now can drive.  For the first time in 7 years, WPI made it to Acceleration and the Ford Autocross events.  The students were so happy and tired.  And yet they will come back tomorrow for the endurance events.  Why? for the love of engineering.   Marie<\/p>\n
