My colleague, Larry Moore  introduced me to the wonderful final senior projects Industrial Design students create at the University of Cincinnati<\/a>.  One student, JudahSher, happened to take his final project to the next level and created his own company<\/a>.  The project and the process is one that I share with you because I think many students have this dream. <\/p>\n

Industrial design students create amazing portfolios.  One thing that made Judah's portfolio stand out was the actual case he designed in SolidWorks.<\/p>\n

The jaws open to reveal copies of Judah's work.<\/p>\n

A series of photos, images and drawings display one of Judah's design, an open source CNC machine.  This open source CNC machine is the focal point of Judah's dream.<\/p>\n

Currently, Judah is trying to get funding from Kickstart.com<\/a>  He is also renting space from a fab lab, Artisan's Asylum of Somerville.<\/p>\n

Judah was also happy to share with me how to make access to SolidWorks tools better for ID students, so I created a youtube play<\/a>list under our SolidWorks channel. <\/p>\n
