Every week I get to meet amazing students, educators and commerical customers that make it truly exciting to be an engineer.  This week is no exception.  On Tuesday, Professor Barbara Hughey from the MIT Women in Technology<\/a> program got to talk to us about a 4 week summer girls in education program that show high school girls how exciting science and engineering can be.    Students learned concepts in physics, math, and engineering.  The girls also create SolidWorks models and rapid prototypes.<\/p>\n

To help promote the need for more women in engineering, I invited Barbara to share what she does here at SolidWorks with members of the North American technical press and SolidWorks bloggers.  So why not have everyone learn what the girls learn,  filled with questions and fun exercises.  The result – learn the cross product and understand how motors work, then go on an build a robot designed by a SolidWorks customer!<\/p>\n
