But former&nbsp;high school science fair winner, &nbsp;Ben Gullak has taken his winning project into amazing products to start his own company, <a title=\"BPG-Werks\" href=\"https:\/\/bpg-werks.com\/\" target=\"_self\">BPG-Werks<\/a> &nbsp;in just a few years.&nbsp;&nbsp; The UNO, an electric scooter, was named one of the top 10 inventions of 2008 by Popular Science magazine.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"display: inline;\" href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e20168e56cc88a970c.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451706569e20168e56cc88a970c image-full\" title=\"BPG UNO\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e20168e56cc88a970c-800wi.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"BPG UNO\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last year, at SolidWorks World 2011, Ben presented his BPG shredder.&nbsp; Before the event started, the BPG shredder was positioned on the stage.&nbsp; I introduced Ben to&nbsp; Bernard Charles, President of Dassault Systemes.&nbsp;&nbsp;When Bernard asked, &#8220;how does it work?&#8221;, Ben immediately opened his ipad to show beautiful photo realistic&nbsp;images created in SolidWorks.&nbsp; For some reason &#8211; conference centers don&#8217;t like it when you start up power vehicles.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"display: inline;\" href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e20168e5685ec3970c.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"BPG_Shredder-military\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e20168e5685ec3970c-400wi.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"BPG_Shredder-military\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ben has become a great example of what students can do with innovation and creativity.&nbsp;Sometimes you need cool examples for your classroom.&nbsp;
