Students use SolidWorks to visualize great ideas for Science Fairs and Technology Fairs.   But former high school science fair winner,  Ben Gullak has taken his winning project into amazing products to start his own company, BPG-Werks<\/a>  in just a few years.   The UNO, an electric scooter, was named one of the top 10 inventions of 2008 by Popular Science magazine.<\/p>\n

Last year, at SolidWorks World 2011, Ben presented his BPG shredder.  Before the event started, the BPG shredder was positioned on the stage.  I introduced Ben to  Bernard Charles, President of Dassault Systemes.  When Bernard asked, “how does it work?”, Ben immediately opened his ipad to show beautiful photo realistic images created in SolidWorks.  For some reason – conference centers don’t like it when you start up power vehicles.<\/p>\n

Ben has become a great example of what students can do with innovation and creativity. Sometimes you need cool examples for your classroom.   His story is explored in this case study<\/a>.  Marie<\/p>\n
