SolidWorks supports many robot events around the world.  When the SolidWorks EDU team gets great models, images and stories – we like to share.  WPI was the first school in the US to offer an undergraduate program in Robotics Engineering.  Mixing mechanical, computer science, controls, electrical engineering with society, the program has risen to be recognized amongst some of the best engineering schools in the world.<\/p>\n

This images was created by WPI students Craig DeMello, Eric Fitting, Samson King, Gregory McConnell, Michael Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

The best senior project at WPI this year was developed by 4-student Dream Team: Joe Amato \u201912 Jon Anderson \u201912, Tom Carlone \u201912, and Michael Fagan \u201912. and can be explored a https:\/\/wpirover.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n

The WPI rover won $500K prize from NASA in 2009.<\/p>\n

WPI hosted the IEEE Int Conference on Technologies for Practical Robot Applications (TePRA) https:\/\/www.ieeerobot-tepra.org\/<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

And they will be competing in AUVSI later this summer.<\/p>\n
