margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Kitchen Sink\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This week I decided to make&#0160;a kitchen sink.&#0160; Even though it is a fairly simple model, I decided to create it with a technique that I do not normally use.&#0160; I made the sink using forming tools.&#0160; These tools deform and remove material from sheet metal parts.&#0160; For this model I had to create two forming tools.&#0160; One what for the sink wells and the other was for the drain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To create a forming tool, design a part that is in the desired shape&#0160;of the deformation.&#0160; Once made, go under insert, sheet metal, than select forming tools.&#0160; Choose the stopping&#0160;face&#0160;which will be flush to the surface of the sheet metal.&#0160; This is the green face seen below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/featherfiles.aviary.com\/2012-07-26\/f77694d11\/3c19d2f9ff2a4799a9e7f2cada3f980d_hires.png\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Drain Stopping Face\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a014e607af0e1970c017616bb42d9970c\" src=\"https:\/\/imjutras.typepad.com\/.a\/6a014e607af0e1970c017616bb42d9970c-400wi\" style=\"width: 400px;\" title=\"Drain Stopping Face\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Then select any face that you would like to remove from the sheet metal which in the case of the drain are these four bottom faces that are in pink.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/featherfiles.aviary.com\/2012-07-26\/f77694d11\/33eec4e4203c40eca618f29230fc9e19_hires.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Drain Faces to Remove\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a014e607af0e1970c017616bb4668970c\" src=\"https:\/\/imjutras.typepad.com\/.a\/6a014e607af0e1970c017616bb4668970c-400wi\" style=\"width: 400px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Drain Faces to Remove\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Any face that is not select will deform the sheet metal to that shape.&#0160; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Saving Forming Tool\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Go to the sheet metal part and click on the design library tab and navigate to the forming tools folder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/featherfiles.aviary.com\/2012-07-26\/f77694d11\/a5aeaf66dc424116b6bc18d7b02b8618_hires.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Inserting Forming Tool\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a014e607af0e1970c017743a19e29970d\" src=\"https:\/\/imjutras.typepad.com\/.a\/6a014e607af0e1970c017743a19e29970d-400wi\" style=\"width: 400px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Inserting Forming Tool\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Drag the desired tool onto your part and position the sketch.&#0160; Once&#0160;placed, the&#0160;sheet metal will deform.&#0160; Feel free to look at my model below, please note that&#0160;you will not&#0160;be able to view my forming tools as&#0160;they are in my design library and do not reside within the part file.&#0160;
