3DEXPERIENCE World 2022<\/a>. February 7-9, will highlight many aspects of the SOLIDWORKS community.\u00a0 The SOLIDWORKS for Good program supports not-for-profit organizations, \u00a0providing\u00a0 SOLIDWORKS community awareness \u00a0and software tools to help educate others and make our world better.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Seashore Trolley Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our newest organization is the Seashore Trolley Museum of Kennebunkport, Maine.\u00a0 The Seashore Trolley Museum<\/a> educates the world about the history of transit.\u00a0 The 1912 Portland-Lewiston Interurban Narcissus, <\/em>\u00a0is currently being restored. \u00a0SOLIDWORKS software is assisting project manager Ernie Eaton and his team in this award-winning restoration.\u00a0 Their use of SOLIDWORKS Visualize produces such life-like results, you can almost hear the bell ring.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Original components, such as the truck mounting bracket from Car 41, are designed in SOLIDWORKS and then CNC routed.<\/p>\n

Educators \u2013 the Seashore Trolley Museum also has great resources for teaching and learning<\/a>.\u00a0 We are not able to showcase the Seashore Trolley Museum this year, but you can visit them in Maine for a great vacation.<\/p>\n

The Magic Wheelchair<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our partnership with the Magic Wheelchair organization continues to grow.\u00a0 Now the DASSAULT SYSTEMES Foundation,<\/a> our employees, and the 3DEXPERIENCE Works software tools, \u00a0support the amazing custom wheelchair builds for kiddos \u2013 right out of our 3DEXPERIENCE Fab Lab in Waltham, MA.\u00a0\u00a0 Thank you to our VARs and SOLIDWORKS community that also supports these epic builds.<\/p>\n

You can learn more about the Magic Wheelchair from the 3DEXPERIENCE World 2022<\/a> Break out session \u201cBuilding Magic for Super Heroes in Wheelchairs\u201d, Wednesday February 9.<\/p>\n

LN4 Giving a Helping Hand<\/strong><\/p>\n

SOLIDWORKS for Good supports the \u00a0LN4 organization, Giving a Helping Hand<\/a>, where designers from our community and SOLIDWORKS R&D engineers help to improve and implement changes to \u00a0free hand \u00a0prosthetics for those in need.\u00a0 This year at 3DEXPERIENCE World<\/a>, General Session, Day 3, Suchit Jain will announce a new competition for students and LN4 using our SOLIDWORKS cloud apps.<\/p>\n

Danielle Boyer and The Steam Connection<\/strong><\/p>\n

The STEAMConnection<\/a> organization is on a mission to make technology education for youth with the power of robotics.\u00a0 Danielle Boyer, Founder and CEO,\u00a0 is a young Indigenous (Ojibwe – Sault Ste Marie Tribe) robotics inventor, author, activist, and advocate for youth who has been teaching kids since she was ten years old. Danielle creates equitable and innovative learning solutions for minority youths with robots that she designs, manufacturers, and gives away for free.\u00a0 With tools like SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids<\/a> and help from our SOLIDWORKS User Groups and VARs<\/a>, we look forward in seeing new projects in 2022..<\/p>\n
