The Science and Entrepreneurship Exchange (SEE) provides elementary and middle school students the opportunity to design new products and startup young businesses. <\/p>\n<p>The crowd loves the students\u2019 new product, the Elephant Hook\u2122 created by the dig-8 pilot project team and designed in SolidWorks.<\/p>\n<p>&#0160;<iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/dig-8\/elephant-hookstm\/widget\/video.html\" width=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Students learn the tough process of market research, raising capital, and product design revisions with the help of Northwestern University students and great mentors and teachers like inventor,&#0160;&#0160;<strong>Joe Born<\/strong> and marketing consultant, <strong>Ted Ganchiff<\/strong>, Northwestern engineering professor, <strong>Mike Beltran<\/strong> and teachers <strong>Julieanne Van Fleet<\/strong>,&#0160; <strong>Michelle Gunderson<\/strong> and <strong>John Nieciak<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>&#0160;<a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e201910427a9df970c.jpg\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Elephant hooks drawing\" border=\"0\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451706569e201910427a9df970c\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e201910427a9df970c-800wi.jpg\" title=\"Elephant hooks drawing\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Students document their work in engineering drawings and professional presentations.&#0160;
