Due to several parameters like part tolerance, kinematic behavior of the servo motors, and friction-effects of the table, the robot always deviates from the ideal path. With the help of SolidWorks Motion, an event \u2013 based software application, the children learn how to simulate the robot\u2019s behavior and deal with the problem.&#0160; <\/p>\n<p>&#0160;<a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e2017c3209da94970b.jpg\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Cadmes fll solidworks model 2\" border=\"0\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451706569e2017c3209da94970b image-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/3\/6a00d83451706569e2017c3209da94970b-800wi.jpg\" title=\"Cadmes fll solidworks model 2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The children will also explore model rendering and engineering drawings to help with the design documentation required for the competition.<\/p>\n<p>&#0160;The First Lego League is an initiative of FIRST (For Recognition and Inspiration of Science and Technology) and LEGO to encourage children (9-15 years old) to explore technology and robotics. The goal is to let children experience the process of design by doing in a competition.
