As France prepares for Independence Day celebrations, the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform provides another reason to celebrate independence.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0 “home office” has laptops. tablets, smart phones, and 3DPrinters on the kitchen table.\u00a0 With the 3DEXPERIENCE, we do not depend on any one type of\u00a0 hardware device.\u00a0 So let’s see how the xDesign app works with 3D Printers in a collaborative environment.<\/p>\n
For this situation, my husband David is the educator.\u00a0 I played the student..\u00a0 David created a cylinder in xDesign by selecting the top plane,\u00a0 sketching a circle centered at the origin, and adding adiameter dimension.\u00a0 From the Features action bar,\u00a0 he extruded the circle.\u00a0 He had no formal training in xDesign – only SOLIDWORKS.\u00a0 No issues using the xDesign interface,<\/p>\n

We both used the same collaborative space\u00a0 \u00a0 The Search Tool\u00a0 in the center of the Dashboard helped to find David’s Physical Product.<\/p>\n

Components in xDesign are called Physical Products..\u00a0 Opening the cylinder in xDesign, displays a message “Reserved Component.”\u00a0 David and I can work in the same collaborative space, but xDesign knows if someone else is working on the same Physical Product.<\/p>\n

Next, it was time to test the 3D Printers.\u00a0 From the Tools Action Bar, select Print 3D.\u00a0 Add Printer.\u00a0 We added three printers, Sindoh DP200, Sindoh 3DWOX1, and Ultimaker.3.<\/p>\n
All three printers use our WIFI.\u00a0 There is an excessive list of 3D Printers in the Add Printer list.\u00a0 You can also Save as an .STL file.<\/p>\n
