This week, members of the global  SolidWorks Education team visited Han University of Applied Science<\/a> in Arnhem, Netherlands.  <\/p>\n

We truly were impressed with their curriculum that uses SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation. <\/p>\n

\"SolidWorks<\/a>
The director and engineering instructors shared information about the automotive engineering bachelors and masters programs.  Students use SolidWorks for their first year to gain strong 3D CAD modeling and detailed drawing skills and in future years explore SolidWorks Simulation and SolidWorks Flow Simulation.  With Abaqus, they simulate the effects on the human body during a car crash.<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"SolidWorks<\/a><\/p>\n

Students had this week off for autumn holiday.  They came back from vacation to meet with us and to show us their projects.<\/p>\n

The projects included the Shell Eco Marathon vehicle, Hybrid, Electric, Fuel Cells, light weight design,  truck chassis design, even a 3-Wheeler from India.  Han\u2019s graduates work in South Africa, Japan and a host of other countries. <\/p>\n

\"Motorcycle<\/a>
In their free time, students get to play too.  A group designed their own motorcycle from SolidWorks models and drawings.<\/p>\n

\"Han<\/a>
The students also asked their instructor to give the Certified SolidWorks Associate<\/a> exam.  They want the CSWA unique ID credential to put on their c.v. (resume) for internships and jobs.<\/p>\n

\"CAD2M<\/a>
To coordinate so many students and educators for our visit, I need to thank our value added reseller, Petra from CAD2M <\/a>and Jack van den Broek from Vak College in the Netherlands.  CAD2M is truly dedicated to these students, providing technical support right in the Han University automotive design lab.<\/p>\n
